Adenomyosis of uterus
The uterus with adenomyosis usually is not deformed but shows globular shape. There is thickening of myometrium more commonly on the posterior aspect. The myometrial involvement may ranges forms a poorly defined mass ( not as sharp as leiomyoma) or diffuse or focal thickening. The cut surfaces characteristically are whorled and trabeculated with small visible brownish spots to small cysts containing chocolate like material.
